Meet Our Staff

George La May

Founder of LaMay’s Tree Service. George has been the driving force behind the business. He has been climbing trees since the 70’s and is the past President of Long Island Arborist Association. He is also a Past President the Cornell Cooperative Education Foundation and current member of the Board of Directors.

Cynthia La May

Co-founder of LaMay’s Tree Service. Cynthia is and has been instrumental in the set up and growth of LaMay’s. She also created a one of kind Plant Health Care computer programs that 25 years later we still use.

Bernard La May

Bud has been doing tree work since he was a teen. He has been a New York Certified Crane Operator for over 30 years and has been a leader in the tree industry when it comes to removing trees in hard-to-reach places.

Jason La May

Jason has been in the tree industry since he was a young boy. He is now the manager of LaMay’s Tree Service. His knowledge of trees and job assessment skills allow him to price a job to benefit the consumer. Jason is an ISA Certified Arborist.

Aisja La May

Is our Office Manager, who has been with the company for over 20 years. She handles all of our accounting needs, in addition to making sure our office is complaint with all our HR and office needs.

Serena Gagnon

Serena has been in the industry for over 25 years. She is a New York State DEC Certified Pesticide Technician and the Manager of our Plant Health Care Department.

Bob Iwanejko

Is an ISA Certified Arborist and the “go to guy” for all pruning needs. Bob has been with the company for over 25 years and has developed relationships with not only clients, but with municipalities in and around Suffolk County. He knows all about permits and special permissions needed.

Tommy Patterson

Is a lifelong horticulturalist, an ISA Certified Arborist and the Manager of our Landscape Division. His unique knowledge of how trees grow, their root structure etc. has helped us have a nice selection of mature trees at our farm. He also can help to decide whether a tree can be planted or transplanted at any particular time.

Joshua Fratti

Joshua is an ISA Certified Arborist as well as a NY State DEC Certified Applicator. He has vast knowledge of landscape trees and shrubs and the many pests and problems that can affect them. He is our main Plant Heath Care technician.
